Meet our Owner
Cynthia started her career after graduating from USC's Viterbi School of Engineering with a degree in Civil Engineering. Focused on Building Science she started her career with Weyerhaeuser in designing Wall, Roof and Floor Systems. As a Project Engineer she was the liason for Specification and Direct Sales. When Weyerhauser sold off their custom commercial business to the newly formed RedBuilt, Cynthia enjoyed the challenge of working in the same capacity for the start-up, RedBuilt. More recently Cynthia worked and had several successes for Hilti North America.
Philanthropy
Outside of La Terra, Cynthia has served on the Board of Directors for the ACE Mentor Program, the Weyerhaeuser Foundation and on the USC Alumni Association Board for over 15 years, including her current role of President Emeritus. In 2017, Cynthia co-found and currently serves on the Board of LittlestBit, a 501c3 that connects youth and families to volunteer opportunities with Seniors, Veterans and local Families in Need.
She is currently working in partnership with Los Angeles Construction firms to launch a non-profit that will provide work-force training and jobs on the design side of the Construction Sector for High School girls living in the most socio-economic challenged parts of Los Angeles. This endeavor hopes to provide a sustainable life skill and trade to bring up and give back to the most underutilized and socially challenged members of our community.
History
La Terra's founders were entrepreneurs with dreams of starting their own construction products' company that included both their loves of Architecture, Design and the quintessential Sustainable lifestyle. Blending twenty years of engineering and construction experience with design build and architectural rendering – La Terra Building Solutions was born.
As a Building Solution consultant to Architects, Owners, Developers, Builders and Industry Partners we strive to seek out and represent only the highest quality and innovative products. We want to cull out for our clientele the best and ecologically minded building components in the market. La Terra meshes a practical and sustainable side, with an eye for aesthetics and emphasis on constructability.
Through organic growth, La Terra recently launched a new division to increase their service offering. Upon acquiring ownership and management of a BIM design services company, they introduced La Terra Construction Services this year. La Terra is growing and diversifying it’s offering thanks to the power of networking and small business resources.
